A Great Story # 2 from school 689, Moscow

Dear friends, would you like to hear another great story about our participation in the GEMS program?

My school is in I*EARN for almost 7 years. We took part in many projects and in many international I*EARN meetings. As hard as I could I have been trying to persuade other schools’ principals to follow our example and join I*EARN. Some of them responded, some of them not. But as soon as they learned that as part of GEMS we are going to receive a Computer Lab they divided into two groups- those who believe that we’ll really get a Lab and those who said it was all nonsense– nobody will give a Computer Lab to an ordinary school in Moscow. Are there really crazy people on the other side of the globe to do such things?!

They only did not take into consideration one fact- my school is not an ordinary school- it is an  I*EARN Family School!

I was not trying to persuade them that we’ll get a Lab, I told them that I was absolutely sure it would happen sooner or later this school year.

They thought that I was crazy to believe in such a tale, but now it turns out that I was right!

Believe in what you are doing and be sure that you are sincerely not expecting awards for your work!

Believe in what you completely belong to!

Believe in people who really cared!

Believe and trust those who are near you, who believe and trust you and everything will be fine!

Make a difference in your own mind and you’ll be able to make a difference in other minds also!

Sometimes we just need to say to ourselves ” We’ll do it!”
